The main plot starts with the disappearances of an OSS agent, Jack Jefferson, and a Russian cargo ship in Cairo. Agent OSS 117 is sent to investigate the events, since he and agent Jefferson share a history, shown in a short opening sequence and in flashbacks throughout the film. OSS 117 stumbles into a web of international intrigue, that involves the French, separate factions of Egyptians, Russians, a goofy Belgian spy and even Neo-Nazis of the first hour. (Wikipedia)

Hilarious without going over the top, goofy without becoming childish, this is a wonderful Bond parody that just oozes with charm and completely catches the 60's style. Dujardin channels Connery perfectly.

Meh. Average. Mildly humourous at times and Dujardin plays the role rather well, but jokes are a bit hit and miss and the story as a whole is rather bland and unoriginal.

Wouldn't work as well without the pitch-perfect Dujardin, but it's a light and funny spoof of the spy genre.

The plot is a mess and a real chore to follow but I'll admit, I had a blast, regardless. The gags are hilarious, as is Dujardin as the suave, self-righteous, unintentionally mindless OSS - providing many of the film's laughs with his playful physicality, sidesplitting expressiveness and brilliant comic timing.

Worth watching for Jean Dujardin's performance alone. If they're smart, Hollywood will come calling.

Closer resemblance to a Bond movie than Quantum of Solace.

Humorous French answer to spy craze of the 60's and its revival by films like Austin Powers. Dujardin has all the qualities needed for silent comedy star. He can act with his face and body, and even though I am sure some of the jokes are lost in translation, physical humor is spot on. Story is weak and serves only as an excuse for over-self-confident and extremely ignorant spy to get into funny situations. Scenes with Nazis and chicken fight are great, but most gags are hit or miss.

Trotzdem sympathisch.

smart, fun parody that doesn't take its spoofs too far and hits all the classic spy movie elements (sexy girls, pacing, and somewhat convoluted story line, etc.); Dujardin found the perfect middle ground between serious and goofy

Hilarious spy spoof. Austin Powers done right. Perfect balance of zaniness and straightplay without being annoying or boring. A must-see.

Most spoofs are ranging from terrible to bad. This is pretty good, Dujardin being the best thing about it.

Police Squad En Francis. Jean Dujardin is a heck of an actor, with the right amount of ham when it's required and straight when it's needed. While not as laugh a minute as a classic ZAZ movie it has plenty to keep you entertained. If this guy can get accentless English down he's going to go faaaaaaaaaar

I actually found the sequel to be funnier both in its overt parody and comedy and also in subtle visual nods to the films it parodies. The jokes were just a little too tired for me and i didn't laugh often...and probably missed laughing at things i might have after being bored by unclever gags.
