Well, *this* is truly bizarre. Unfortunately, neither this activity nor its practitioners are interesting enough to sustain an hour's run time. At about a quarter of the length, this might have worked

Pretty awesome, but nothing compared to it's sister movie, Hands on a Hard Body.

A naive and amateurish documentary that delves little more than skin deep into a curious fringe subculture. The most interesting insights are those the filmmaker unwittingly stumbles upon, specifically the competitive attitudes of masculine posturing which turn most of the people featured from southern eccentrics into just plain unlikable douchebags. And then he encourages them by establishing a tournament.

Surprisingly interesting documentary about an unusual way of fishing. It also has some good music by The Flaming Lips.
