Boring as hell, and Corden is an utter cuntbag.

One Chance is - mostly - a thoroughly watchable look at likeable Britain's Got Talent winner, opera singer Paul Potts. James Corden makes for a great Paul, Mackenzie Crook and Alexandra Roach make for great support. Alas, all falls apart in the final ten minutes, when we actually get to the Britain's Got Talent segment of the movie, as Corden's Potts is blended shoddily with original footage of the show's judges. (The audition process itself is badly fudged, too, probably at Syco's request.)

I know that James Corden is good singer but here he's just lip-syncing. Not that he's good with opera stuff.

I think the story is compelling which is surprising considering you know the conclusion. James Corden is fine as Potts although he has an awful Welsh accent which in some scenes he cant even be bothered to deliver. I think he also struggles to mime when it comes to the singing sections. All things considered his journey from zero to fame is well told but its no-more than a TV movie.

It's charming at some points and even though I enjoy Cordens Late Late Show, I didn't felt that he did anything good for the Paul Potts character. *Okay

A sweet, but a run of the mill film about the life and success of Paul Potts. Decent, no more no less.

Is it formulaic? Oh, yeah! The filmmaking cast and crew―including Marley & Me director David Frankel―has pulled out all the required stops and pounded the expected emotional keys to make sure this biopic pleases the matinee crowd it's aimed at. But I must admit that the finale still brought tears to my eyes and infused me with a sense of inspiration--about how the little guy can sometimes make good when he tries hard enough and has the right people in his life.
