So much cheesy fun. Mark Dacascos is so likable, the badguys are so corny, and the bad kids look so much like New Kids on the Block it's nearly impossible not to have fun watching this.

Same exact story you have seen in martial arts film a hundred times, but silly enough to be somewhat enjoyable.

Re-watched this one recently, it's much cheesier than I remembered. Dacascos does a pretty bad acting job, is too old for his part (as was the blonde teacher and many others -- commonly seen in high school movies though) and I was a little put-off by them trying to pass off Mexicans as Brazilians. It's still got enough early 90s awesome to make it decent.

Ok...it's really stupid and fun to watch at the same time. Especially if you like Capoeira

It seems to a B-movie, it is very poorly done, although it is nice, because shows the art of capoeira, the Brazilian style of martial arts.

Not a bad film. Most of the martial arts are more flare than function, and many of the plot points are softened or made more childish. But it was fun as long as you like dance style martial arts.

I don't know how you can hate this movie. It's like Saved by the Bell, but with shirtless dudes and martial arts.
