The film is based in Japan, in the late 1600's. Fujida, an imperial official and Kabayashi, a samurai are the leaders of a gang that kidnaps young girls and submits them to torture and humiliation! Don't be tricked by an Italian/English title. There's barely any violence here and it's not really that sadistic with most of it being offscreen or it just cuts after a bit of tease. Original title which translates to something like "Sad life of bathhouse women" is much more fitting. It's just a rather standard drama about women forced into being geishas with a bit of nudity, rape and swordfights. Nothing memorable though.
