Three struggling friends - Pavithran (Jayaram), a Hindu, Jimmy (Siddique), a Christian & Basheer (Jagathi Sreekumar), a Muslim, separately come to the Thripathoor palace in response to an ad calling for eligible Kshatriya bachelors to be adopted by Rajashekara Varma (Narendra Prasad) & wife Lakshmi (Jayabharati) of Thripathoor. Trying to be the chosen one, they adopt fake Kshatriya names & compete & try to outwit each other, but soon has to contend with a 4th candidate - Seena (Easwari Rao). (Summary by iceblox)
