Open Windows is convoluted and overplotted, but at least it's consistently entertaining and you'll want to stick with it to the end, even if it'll throw in two or three twists too many by that point. It has a unique style, one which always gives you something different to watch and also makes you feel more like you're a part of the film. It's exciting and tense, even if its internal logic will probably leave you scratching your head. Still, it's filled with content and won't likely bore you.

If you want to see Her naked, get some of her porn. It must be really good. If you want to see some real hacking, go to Youtube and search for wifi cracking or something. If you want to see a good hacking movie, wake the fuck up. This is basically unwatchable.

Highly watchable and engrossing. Not sure everything worked with all the twists and red herrings, but definitely original and never boring. Great direction and editing as well.

The story's got so many twists that I lost counting. But there was some interesting effects. I liked the multi window editing and the shattered picture.

The presentation of the story unfolding within the confines of a desktop screen holds some value as a novelty. The thrill of the story is crippled by an incredibly stupid, weak-minded and gullible protagonist that made me root against him. Tries to keep you engaged by throwing mechanical "twists" in, but for the plot manipulations to be satisfying, the protag needed to be somewhat intelligent. By the time the plot turns come full circle and try to redeem itself, it's too late to not suck.

I remember liking this, but what I remember more is Nacho's insistence on showing everyone will watch his ability to balance a pint on his head. What a guy.

Open Windows feels like a live action GTA mission, ridiculous and fun. The use of webcam footage and mirrored-windows, whether gimmicky or novel, worked well to create tension and drive the plot; there isn't a dull moment. The film is closer to science fiction than reality, but delivers on its "Internet is a dangerous place" theme. The acting isn't great, but it's enough to carry the filme's interesting and original story.

The premise and presentation are interesting enough but the screenplay is god awful and all of the acting aside from Elijah Wood is garbage.

A Blackhat/Unfriended mashup -- with multiple sceens, POVs and cams. It's catchy -- Sasha plays a J-Law kind of movie star stalked by a hacker who's apparently manipulating another stalker (a good one) to meet and kill her --, but it also feels bloated with easy getaways -- the whole thing about a God-like hacker using Wood's face and identity to save Sasha -- and forced thoughts on the oppressive celebrity world. It could've been just fun, but it only managed to deliver it in the first 40 min.

The threat of something disturbing is diverted somewhat into something closer to silly, but it is entertaining and a bit odd. I briefly considered writing that it is 'entertainingly odd', but that isn't right; then I considered saying it is 'oddly entertaining', but that isn't quite right either. What I mean may just be that I found it watchable even though/maybe because as it goes along the pretense to take its somewhat dark theme at all seriously becomes less and less convincing.

This is a unique delivery of high tech hacking and survailance technologies in a strange plot. Too many twists and turns. Performances were good. The story was shocking, but also ridiculously convoluted and mostly unconvincing. Most people will either love it or hate it. I gave it extra points for originality and for the unique delivery. The topless porn star Sasha Grey was nice. Riveting and mostly entertaining from start to finish.

A big old mess, but never unwatchable. I'm not giving up on you, Mr. Vigalondo--you made Timecrimes, which means I'll probably check out every one of your films for the rest of my life. Don't let me down.
