A rather forgettable family friendly flick set in Vietnam war times. The plot rather stretches what could be believable during rather harsh times, but it's fine making a light-hearted film for a change of pace, it just wasn't my thing.

A family friendly movie about the Vietnam War. What could go wrong? It's a politically and emotionally decontextualized pastiche of the previous decade's Vietnam films, which is almost disturbing to watch, and an occasional study on civil affairs - but don't expect this film to show up in a COIN development program anytime soon.

Not really a lot of positive things to say about this film. The plot was outlandish and stupid. One of those films you remember simply because it was bad.

I remember seeing this movie when I was much younger and can recall all the little giggling fits that it brought. It is interesting that it is not considered a family movie, when in most cases its appeal is certainly to those of a little bit of a younger disposition. It does contain dramatic elements and dashes of action and adventure. The movie held loosely together by the acting is by no a means a must see. It is however something entertaining for the kiddies to watch.

This is not the bad film that everyone says it is. It is, however, typical Disney live-action film fare. It is a decent film with a great cast. The stort is family-friendly (read safe and dull), but it is well acted. Sure it may have just been a paycheck for these guys, but with actors like Glover, he brigs his A-game to every role.

One of my least favorite movies of all time. The thought of watching this movie sends pain throughout my entire body. It's really that bad and it's funny thinking Liotta went from Goodfellas to this in only 5 years. Holy shit that poster should be on r/cringe
