Highschool play level text, ridiculously uninformed, overstated and devoid of subtext to the extent that the characters of seasoned politicians and highly educated professors all invariably speak and act like children. The issues are misunderstood at best, and the snippets of what the filmmakers imagine the intifada to look like are just as cringe (some of them rendered in the usual yellow filter reserved for non-western countries). It's part unintelligent writing and part racist condescension.
