Rather than attempting to make insider trading and deceiving the police interesting on its own merits, Overheard chooses to present those details as necessary evils, pretenses to get to tense break-ins and gangster action. It's a bit artificial as a result and does a disservice to the trio of leads - Louis Koo, Lau Ching-Wan and Daniel Wu - who are great as the police surveillance team who are driven to break the law in an unfair, money-centric world.

the cast is awesome, but the story feels forced by the end
