Has stuff bubbling under deck, but very little steam comes out of it. And that's what's the main problem. The script doesn't really dare to go anywhere. Or perhaps can't afford to take it anywhere after spending too much on the sets? Instead it relies totally on the personalities of it's stars Chester Morris & Victor McLaglen along with the lady in between Wendy Barrie. And that works okay as long as one like these three and I do. But this was not a major movie experience from RKO & Lew Landers.
