Pan

Pan (1922) is a really well-made Norwegian drama from the silent days. Adaptation of a Knut Hamsun novel, which bases its story on misunderstanding and unfortunate events which ruins a potential romance. Well acted and nicely shot in beautiful Norwegian scenery. However, it's the epilogue that makes this movie intriguing. It's both the worst part of the film and the most interesting. The film crew actually went to Algeria and continued the tragic story there. Good to finally see this one.
