A simple movie but a lot of fun. A group of people find themselves as the only people awake in Paris and proceed to do all sorts of crazy things.

Clair's first full film uses a high-concept setup for some Absurdist silliness, as our protagonists attempt to take the best advantage of a city frozen in time, casting moral considerations to the wind while they do so. The performances aren't the greatest, but really, this is all about the setups: the abandoned tourist spots, the frozen citizens, climbing around the Eiffel tower, etc. Some of the editing feels a bit rough and oddly jerky, but then again, so do the characters--deep, that.

Nice idea but it could have been executed more interestingly.
