Personal Shopper

The story and its supernatural parts are disjoint and vague enough to be open for a wide variety of interpretations. On the other hand, they are disjoint and vague enough to not bother too much.

We know that artistic productions reverberate in different ways in people. Personal Shopper - for me that I'm connected to technologies, but not spirituality - shows how confusing life can be and not give us understandable answers to our questions - taking, of course, these two aspects into account.

Not to be unkind, but Kristen Stewart's dreadful performance makes an otherwise innocuous film into one that's unpleasant and even grating at times.

I don't particularly like watching thrillers, so I appreciated how the texting plot was resolved without a huge bang, and with just enough time to dedicate to the ghost story at the end. Excellent phone cinematography. Watch for Kristen Stewart in Chanel taking hotel room mirror selfies

Unconventional but absorbing sense of pace and storytelling, very similar to Clouds of Sils Maria in that sense. Not quite at Clouds-level for me, which I felt was elevated by the dynamic between Binoche and Stewart, but still fresh and intriguing.
