(TIFF 08') An insightful look into relationships and how it can easily be broken by a third manipulative party. Once again, I was unaware of the plot, which is (sometimes) the best way to enjoy a film at its fullest. Smart and mature film from Romania, hope you'll see it one day.

Shaky hand-held digital camera annoys me in general, but here it serves a purpose: each take represent a point of view of one of the characters. The story keeps the viewer in tension and plays on their expectation based on genre cliches, but, typically to the new romanian cinema, it's not the real subject of the film - just a means to describe the characters, their off-screen lives and tell something about relationships in general.

Awesome! Subjective POV shots have an unmatched power to approximate regular visual experience and Sitaru ups the ante by discarding the common "documentary excuse". Not only a refreshing way to construct space, his choice to cut between different POVs only produces incredible intimacy. I wish more talents would persue constructing films in the same style and would love to see longer takes and even more complex shots, as in 'Enter the Void'. The writing and acting is much better in this, however
