Insane shouldn’t exist but glad it does sequel. Sometimes dead is better but sometimes Clancy Brown has an electrified cage in his backyard filled with rabbits he watches have sex.

Ok, this movie is terrible but there are a few stellar highlights. 1. a dog with tits. 2. Clancy Brown is hilarious.

I was surprised that this actually does have a few fans. Pet Sematary 2 has a few positives, mainly Clancy Brown’s sheer fun with this. Even Mary Lambert has some visual flair (why dog tits though?) However, this feels like quite the opposite of what the original created. There is no sense of dread, or tension for that matter. There isn’t anything particularly emotional either. This is just so bizarre and weird, that it even becomes comical at some points. This really ain’t for me.

They took the first and turned it's camp-y, King-y thing up to 11. Fun until the final act which was -completely- unhinged.

Admittedly it's worse than the first, which wasn't even very good in the first place. We've got Edward Furlong and Anthony Edwards, both of whom I consider capable actors, thrust into this absolutely horrendous horror crap. It's not scary, it's laughs aren't funny, it's special effects are dated and it's just generally insulting.

Minor improvements here include less emphasis on explaining the stupid premise, more over-the-top gore FX (courtesy of Steve Johnson), and Brown's scenery-and-flesh-chewing turn as one of scare screendom's most animated -- nay, downright hyperactive -- zombies. (This features what may be the first necrophilia scene where the corpse is the sexual aggressor!) This doesn't break any new ground (burial or otherwise), but it does deliver on a straight-ahead horror level.

Edward Furlong steals the show in this one. Unfortunately, the show was only worth $2.98, so it wasn't worth it to begin with.

Removed everything that was well-done from the first instalment, and replaces it with cheap thrills and gore. Clancy Brown is entertaining as a shambling revenant, and it's entertaining to watch Furlong and Edwards in such low-brow fare, but overall the movie is lacklustre and tedious where the first was gripping and unrelenting.

Naaah... awful. And it doesn't make any sense. Why does the dog change fur? The only scary thing about this was the abusive husband when he was alive..

Another needless sequel from the director of the original. The film is slow and mean-spirited, but the performers (especially Brown as the sadistic local sheriff) are good and the makeup FX are well done.

Unforgettable and unnecessary sequel to an already fantastic movie. Story is really silly and badly written and almost no suspense whatsoever. Skip this and just watch the original.

Not nearly as bad as I thought it’d be. I absolutely love the book (as long as it feels) and the first movie was an imperfect, somewhat eerie adaptation. This original sequel to the movie doesn’t reach the cinematic heights of that film (what it had anyway). It’s not great, but it’s well paced and I found myself pretty invested. I particularly liked Clancy Brown. The movie does get a bit too weird though. It’s a dull, reasonably okay time-killer if nothing else.

Bad but pretty entertaining nonetheless, and ends with my favorite Ramones song.

Not nearly as bad as "history" says, mostly because Lambert is a skillful director, Clancy Brown's full Nicholson performance and the delicious make-up, special effects. Too bad the script can't quite follow so much over-the-top shit going on all the time -- psycho bullies, undead dog attacking everyone, depressed kids wanting to run away, nightmares featuring Zowie's head with a woman body. In a way, it's like the original was murdered and then brought back to life by the Pet Sematary itself.
