Phantom Carriage

It's not a bad remake, even if it desperately needs a remaster. But despite trying hard to build up the characters with some not-half-bad dialogue ("Hope and Faith? Those are sailships, right?"), it falls short of both the 1921 version and the novel by some ways, especially in the ending. There's no mystery, no magic, which gets us a pretty drawn-out story and ultimately a pretty cheap redemption.
