It was very good considering 95% of the movie takes place in a 2 square foot phone booth. If Kiefer Sutherland wasn't the sniper, this movie wouldnt be nearly as good.

How does Joel Schumacher make some pretty intense flicks such as "Phone Booth," as well as "Falling Down" and "A Time to Kill," but manage to fall so short on so many others? Regardless, Colin Farrell has one hell of a bad day, and Kiefer Sutherland has one hell of a good time as an unseen sniper ready to end his prey's life while Farrell hangs helplessly onto his only means of survival inside a claustrophobic phone booth. What a good movie.

Decent. I'm usually quick to kick Joel Schumacher in the nuts any chance I get, but I have to commend him here. While this movie is nothing too amazing, the concept is executed as well as it could possibly be. The film is quite short, but there aren't many places a film can go when it's protagonist is trapped in a phone booth for almost the entire duration. The cast elevates it, as Farrell is compelling enough to care about, and the gritty intensity of Sutherland's voice is what powers the film.

Starts out excellent with great acting from all parties involved. Eventually it becomes apparent that the character whom Farrell talks to over the phone has not been properly thought out which really ruins the overall experience.

If you can film an entire movie in one phone booth and hold attention, you're a pretty damn good film maker or writer. I didn't get at all bored during this movie, in fact there was so much suspense that it was hard to look away.

Joel Schumacher (the guy who gave us 'Batman and Robin'. Yes. THE 'Batman and Robin') is back to his usual mad-but-righteous-vigilante-shenanigans in this largely average kammerspiel about a prick who has to admit that he is just that - to himself and everyone around him. Sadly there aren't enough twists and turns to keep us engaged and most of the movie is spent thinking about how this director actually made 'Batman and Robin'. Yes. THE 'Batman and Robin'.

Phone Booth proves that movies are just better when writers don't know what the hell they're talking about. "Hollow point bullets fragment on impact. Clearly, this means that the police won't be able to tell if a shot came from a handgun or a high velocity rifle." Hey, I'm not complaining...
