Picture Claire

Quite well made thriller for a lower budget type of film, lots of interestingly shot scenes. There really seemed to be good chemistry between Lewis and Gershon as they started to play off each other. The biggest downfall seems to be a rather rehashed plot with no big surprises.

I found it hard to identify with the main character in this movie. Plus the plot moved to slow, which dragged the movie on. This is a rare disappointing Bruce McDonald film.

There's something intriguing at the core of this film. That said, this film comes in the guise of a thriller that seems to be channeling something like Pulp Fiction or Lock Stock and Smoking Barrels, but without any of the charm or memorability. There's something flat about the characters and something coldly academic about the main conceit. Perhaps because the film doesn't really know what it wants to be, we're stuck with something that's a bit thought provoking but ultimately unsatisfying.
