Pilot #5 (1943) was the type of war movie which had potential. Great cast, including Franchot Tone, Gene Kelly & Van Johnson, along with a interesting choice of narrative of different flashbacks from various sources. However it didn't really work for some reason. The result was confusing and actually dull. Felt like the actors didn't understand where this was going either so they just did their lines and you didn't really feel it. Shame, really.
