This forgotten grindhouse concoction pits a flamboyantly gay biker gang against the straights. Further proof, as if any was needed, that the world of '70s cinema was light-years from our own. Priscilla Queen of the Desert it's not! (Trailers From Hell)

The Pink Angels is a very strange movie. I'm guessing that the filmmakers of this movie probably wanted to make some sort of satire based off of Easy Rider. But, The Pink Angels is completely original, and very strange. The story revolves around six bikers who are on their way to Los Angles. We don't know why they are going, but we do know they are a typical biker gang. Soon, they have a food fight, and we learn that they are...gay, and they are on their way to a drag ball in LA. Where to start with this one? If I'm being charitable, it's intended as a parody of the biker genre by undercutting the tough guy biker persona by making the good guy bikers effeminate. The problem is that there really don't appear to be any jokes in the film. What seems to pass for jokes is a litany of gay stereotypes which are laid on so thick here that any good intentions the movie might have had are just swept away by the ugliness of it all.
