This unnecessary sequel to the enjoyable campy schlock remake of the 70's tongue-in-cheek "Jaws" ripoff, surprisingly fell flat on its 3DD boobs. While the remake rode a fine line of self-aware camp and stupid trash, this sequel falls into being a bad parody. Although I'm a fan of dumb comedy and so-bad-it's-good junk, unfortunately too much of the movie's humor misses the mark hard, instead opting for more over-the-top trash & boobs, seemingly losing all of the previous' charm in the process.

(Viewed on 7/12/12): Cheap and tacky sequel tries to replicate the over the top thrill's of Aja's remake, but it misses the mark by a considerable distance. Aja treaded a fine line between clever and stupid, but he always knew where the line was. Gulager and co are competely clueless, presumably believing that the success of his film was solely due to its gratuitous violence and nudity, so they up the ante and fail spectacularly.The acting is atrocious and the direction resembles lame DTV fare.

'He chopped off his dick because something came out of my vagina!' Has some hilarious moments and Christopher Lloyd is always great fun to watch but The Hoff is easily the best thing about it. Apart from that, everything else is recycled and inferior to the 2010 film. Watch that. Ending and post-credits were hilarious.

The green light to make this sequel may be more surprising than just how bad this is. Piranha 3DD does exactly what the first one does, except takes the fun and dumb concept out of it. While certainly crude and gory, it is unnecessarily disgusting in some scenes just for the sake of the audience's reaction. From cameos that are wasted, to CGI that is worse, and dialogue trying so hard to be funny, Piranha 3DD isn't even close to guilty pleasure level of film making, making this unwatchable.

Even if you are a cheap cash in, you are allowed to make some effort. This film makes Piranha 3D look subtle, tasteful, possessing a plot and at least some acting talent too. Poor Christopher Lloyd. Also, padding the run time with out-takes and behind the scenes titting (no pun intended) about? Lame. Just don't bother with this.

Piranha 3DD is a mediocre movie. It's not good enough to be enjoyed, and it's not bad enough to have a good time laughing at its efforts. It's just there, eating away money and your time. Just go watch the red-band trailer, as it gives away pretty much the entire movie anyway -- and only keeps the "good" parts, as trailers are inclined to do -- and save yourself the money. There's nothing here that warrants a watch.

Ok, I think if you take this movie too seriously that you will hate it... but come on, it's called Piranha 3DD. Once you get over yourself and just enjoy the film this movie is pretty fun. Yeah, ancient fish attack an adult water park. That right there adds some hilarity. There were some good one-liners and had some of the best scenes involving David Hasselhoff. I was laughing so hard during some parts. The part where David Koechner gets his head cut off is priceless. Also, Ving Rhames rocks.

Watch it in 2D if you have a chance, 3D is really annoying in this one and it's hard to focus on action. But apart from that - boobs, blood and tasteless jokes - what's not to love. Can't wait to watch it properly on DVD without the fucking glasses.

I'm not sure what the cinema walkout equivalent is when you're watching this in bed on Netflix, but I did that after about 6 minutes of run time. This gets a point per minute. At least I got to watch Gary Busey's 'Ozzy Osborne bat head' ft Piranha reference.

Danielle Panabaker's built like a superheroine, but the movie's built like one of those videos you watch late at night on YouTube when everybody else is in bed. The first one was great, gory fun, and was naughty in a cheesy B-movie way; this one dials back the gore and the fun, and is naughty in a pervy, skeevy old man way. It also has more beaver on display than OPEN SEASON. I kept my head down as I left the theater.

Takes out all the fun of the original and instead has unlikable characters, uneven story telling, and a middle school level approach to "This should gross out the viewer!" The only good thing about this is David Hasselhoff, who plays his cameo fully cheesy and it works in this syfy channel quality movie.

After unexpectedly enjoying the totally ridiculousness of the first movie I was looking forward to this one. No where near as good. A few one liners that had me laughing but you could have seen them in the trailer. In fact just watch the trailer and forget the film its probably better. The Hoff was the star and good on him for taking the mick out of himself.

The saddest thing about this is how much potential it actually had. Panabaker & Bowden have proven that they're solid horror heroines, & the rest of the cast isn't bad. The water park setting is great. But, from the title (ugh) to the editing, awful 3D effects, soulless narrative & bland characters, all on top of comedy that really doesn't work at all, this is a flop. It does have its moments, but they're too few & far between to make any impact. It's exactly what you expect, & that isn't good.

Anyway, everything wrong and right with this movie could be summed up with the line "Something came out of my vagina and bit his penis." It's occasionally funny and often entertaining, but it's still very stupid. It has more of a SyFy channel movie feel than the original. It's not completely terrible, but it's still not good either. Still definitely the best one in this series so far. And funnier than most recent full on parodies.

I actually tought the first one was quite decent even tough it was ridiculous! But i was entertained. This one is a whole new level of retarded. Has some funny moments (with Hasselhoff, Rhames, Koechner...), more crappy ones, though. Has some cool performances (Panabaker, Lloyd, Koechner, who - esp. the latter -made you forget how shitty das dialoque is for a second), more crappy ones, though. And it's pretty cheap overall. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing when it comes to comedy. But the serious parts were just shitty.

its a horror movie about nasty man-eating piranha gather for a feast of disgusting human body parts and worst life guard in the world. it is what you get,when taking time to see terrible filmmaking and expecting to be entertained. don't bother the logic because this is a guilty pleasure of watching black comedy with lacks of brain cells. for those who didn't know,Eli Roth's remake entitled "Piranha 3D" is a much better than this worthless sequel. so skipped this parade of 'brain dead' piranha.
