Surprisingly DJ Khaled isn't the worst part of this movie. This is a segment of culture I will never understand.

Oh god, this was painful. What a terrible movie. The script was just so bad - cliché after cliché with horrendous dialogue. I think this is meant to be a comedy, but man, is it unfunny. There were one or two okay song moments, but overall, they didn't do much for me. Oh, and the whole thing seemed to be one big commercial for DJ Khaled? I barely know who that is, but I sure heard his name enough in this movie. I wasn't counting, but I'd have to imagine it was between 20 and 3004 times.

Pitch Perfect 3 is the perfect example of running a franchise into the ground. The plot on the other hand is a nonsensical mesh of ideas; including a singing competition, international smugglers, daddy issues and an ode to Michael Bay. None of which are interesting, and all struggle to fill the 90 minute runtime. Worse still, the premise of post collegiate life is squandered. The Banks and Higgins double act is atrocious. It's sad day when Wilson is the source of the laughs. The music is fine.

If you liked the previous two Pitch Perfect movies, you will like the third one, which is little more than an excuse to get these characters back together to sing some songs and tell some jokes. If that's enough for you, have at it. If it's not, well, it's not. I enjoyed it. The music is good and the jokes are funny. And it concludes these characters' stories well enough that you should be able to accept that this is the end for them. That's really all I wanted.

If you're watching the third one, you'll probably like it. It's more of the same, which I enjoyed. The third act action sequence is absolutely terrible, though, and has no reason to exist.

The generally strong presentation of the music and zippy, 30 Rock-esque jokes (as 30 Rock writer Kay Cannon has written all three films) remain but otherwise the series has become a bit stagnant - every time things are going to start out sucking for the Bellas and every time they're going to pull it together and perform amazingly and win in the end. This one attempts to freshen things up with a Die Hard-esque action misadventure on a yacht and DJ Khaled, which do not work.

As the last film in the trilogy the story was not as tight and that definitely did not help the final instalment. Of course the musical numbers were still the films main highlights with Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson receiving a lot of the films focus from a narrative stand point. It just was not the send off I expected and felt way more forced than usual. Still an enjoyable film just not on the same level as the other two.

The only thing I liked about this movie was Hailee Steinfeld.

The unexpected intro with "Toxic" followed by a big action movie "jump away from explosion" sequence is pretty fun, but the flashback story that follows mostly disappoints, with forced backstories (see dad issues x2), tired retreads of old plot lines ("It has to be a competition!"), and constant fishing for new filler (see the barely there romance and Bella baby). Amy's still funny and the music's still good though, so it remains decently engaging through to the nice wrap-up ending.

Unsure how to rate this since I'm not its target demo & the jokes aren't my taste. I appreciate the girl-power appeal (males have similarly lunkheaded franchises), but any female who finds the shock humor on MTV Award show skits unfunny & tiresome is unlikely to enjoy this. The songs -except for a George Michael cover - are meh & the story's so contrived it feels like it exists ONLY bc there's still $$ to made. One scene telegraphs what's coming so clearly, u might think ur watching 3's Company

A muddled, unfunny mess that's somehow an action movie with a couple catchy covers.

Most of the music was actually pretty good, but the rest sucked. I won't say that Anna Kendrick, I'm a fan, phoned in her performance, but it just couldn't help looking that way since all she had to work with was stupid.

There were a few laughs but this is really just massive nonstop cringe. A highlight was watching Brittany Snow grope Anna Kendrick though. I'm just grateful I could skip through this because there's no way I ever want to watch some gross misogynistic slob like DJ Khaled.

Pitch Perfect 3 doesn't have any of the original humor, people dynamics or quirky musical numbers as the first movie. The jokes are just slapstick or putting "aca" in front of a word, like "aca-scuseme" and "aca-mazing". The movie doesn't know if it wants to be an action movie, a comedy or a musical. Completely boring, annoying, pointless and a waste of time. Just a movie riding on its predecessor's name. Very disappointed.

sooo...I guess Blake Lively lifted her Simple Favor character from Fat Amy. Or maybe Fat Amy was the triplet. She didn't die, she just went to Australia. Maybe that's where we all go. Maybe Blake Lively and Rebel Wilson need to do a blonde sociopath road pic. Maybe Mayhem and Jamie from those insurance commercials could play their boyfriends. Fucking pop culture man. Have not seen the 1st 2 in this series...probably won't. But this wasn't bad.

In a recent interview with Elle, actress Anna Kendrick (who plays Beca) described how those involved with this franchise have bonded while filming these three movies. "We got especially close. ... I just feel so proud. It's such a diverse group. I think I didn't fully appreciate until the third one how rare it is to work with ten women from such different backgrounds. We're close in age, but we have such different points of view and such different senses of humor. I feel very lucky."

The second part abandoned a logical plot so it is maybe just consequent for this to abandon any plot at all (seriously, it’s easy to imagine that there was no script at the time of shooting) and also any goddamned jokes.

What did you want? I wanted the easy on the eyes Bellas to dance and since for 90 minutes and we got that. The moments in between are hilarious and subtle and Banks and Wilson chew their scenes up.

Par for the course. Continues the trends set in Pitch Perfect 2 of characters with decreasing likability (Steinfeld is the only one with any charm left) and song choices with decreasing inspiration. The first film was great, but we're a long way downhill at this point. They should quit before we hit bottom.

Generally a weak movie, with John Lithgow's australian accent as the low point - but I love the series so this was still enjoyable to me.

The only thing worse than a totally DOA action-comedy cold open is when "3 weeks earlier" pops up right afterwards and you realize the next 80 minutes are gonna be building back up to it. On the evidence of John Lithgow in this, Kate McKinnon in ROUGH NIGHT, and Rob Lowe and Hayes MacArthur in SUPER TROOPERS 2, one could be forgiven for thinking Australians and Canadians were the only foreigners left for American actors to mock with comic accents, and y'know I've had just aboot enough of it.

Even worthier sequel. I know this is just wishful thinking, but can there please be more? And can Alexis Knapp generally have bigger parts in things? Pun honestly not intended.

Besides 5 minutes of good singing from Kendrick in the last... 5 minutes of the movie it was a waste of time. It was almost painful to make it through. *Bad
