Pointed Heels

It a silly fun forgettable piece of fluff. William Powell is the highlight.

One of approximately million backstage musicals to come out during the first year of sound. This one has the advantage of having William Powell as it's glue. But that doesn't stop it from being a pretty average experience. But it had it's share of mindless fun teaming Richard 'Skeets' Gallagher with the "boop-boop-bedoops" girl Helen Kane doing a rare feature film. And the straight pair of Phillips Holmes & Fay Wray as it's foundation had a sweet little romance going. Simple movie of it's time.
