Despite a few flaws, Lucario and the Mystery of Mew delivers a Pokémon film with a simple, yet interesting plot and positive themes on friendship, responsibility & understanding. My only complaints are that the animation is a little uneven and the dialogue (in the English dub) seemed dumbed down at times. The mystery central to the plot isn't complex, but is well-paced, allowing for some decent character growth. The medieval setting and fantasy-esque elements are well-incorporated. Enjoyable.

This is by far the weirdest and least satisfying Pokémon movie I've seen. The story meanders around for most of the runtime and seems to be having multiple unrelated storylines most of which don't really matter in the end.
