An entertaining short despite any issues one with have with the original franchise, but it does suffer from the padding of one-image scene transitions which feel like they were only added to increase the running time.

Has some charming Looney Tunesy bits, but far from enough to save it.

For the fans. Pikachu's Vacation is a highly enjoyable and cute distraction. Missing some of the voice work which can make the TV series annoying. This focuses entirely on the Pokemon without their trainers was something not done yet and a welcomed addition to the series. The cuteness and light comedy is in full force in this thoroughly undemanding short film.
