Police Story: Lockdown

Plot is ridiculously lame (and it's completely serious unlike most films with Jackie, which makes it even harder to buy) and no interesting fights (well, Jackie is not young anymore). Don't waste your time.

While visiting his estranged daughter (Jing Tian) at a nightclub, a police captain (Jackie Chan) must spring into action when an elaborate kidnapping plan unravels right before his eyes.

A really good police drama that is tainted somewhat by the use of the Police Story name. I was somewhat disappointed through out most of the movie because I kept expecting the action comedy drama of the previous films. The drama was well done and Jackie Chan did an amazing job.

From someone who is completely unfamiliar with the whole series of films I thought this was a fairly good action-drama flick. I really enjoyed the inventive sets used for a lot of the action scenes, they really had a good industrial feel that were converted to modern use.

Final confrontation is fantastic, otherwise it's a slog.

Aile içi çatışmalar dallanıp budaklanıyor. Action bol öykü fazla. Kötü adamlar niye kendini bıçaklar?

Like others have said it doesn't seem appropriate for this to have the Police Story title as it has neither humor nor action. It does start out promising as a sort of jackie chan die hard but it doesn't hold that tension and as mentioned lacks action. Chan is good at this dark, serious stuff though so i held out bc of that. Sadly the "twists" at the end just pepper the movie with plotholes and the "secrets" seem like facts that would come out in any typical court case

Not much kung-fu action. Some explosions. Not funny movie.
