Ex-gangster Zakir Ali Hussain (Mohanlal), settled in Cochin, takes up arms again after an attempt on the life of his father figure Haji Mustafa (Anupam Kher), by Mumbai-based don Raman Naik (Mahesh Anand). Zakir kills Raman, creating a void in the underworld which businessman & kingmaker Balaraman (Shammi Thilakan) asks Zakir to fill.
