Prelude 5

This one has a much calmer mood to it. It's slower, has less variation of colour (this is mainly purple), and feels less hurried and chaotic than the other instalments. Soothing and relaxing to watch, I like it.

At least these have a theme, they're all the hand-painted stuff. This is my favorite kind of Brakhage. I admit, though, that's it mainly because they're trippy and beautiful to look at. Brakhage's artistic rationales for these usually sound like hogwash to me, and they are somewhat interchangeable. Also hard to take in large doses.
