The print has deteriorated too much to get full satisfaction from this dark Czech tale of the mysterious Black Tower. But it's still pretty cool and it stars a teenage Anny Ondra! The cute girl moving her lips in Britain's first talkie, Alfred Hitchcock's Blackmail (1929). And she was just as cute then as she was then. This movie also features her first husband. Noted European director Carl Lamac. Ondra later married German boxer Max Schmelin for over 50 years! A real life beauty and the beast!
