Primrose Path

Kind of a sweet love story between Ginger Rogers & Joel McCrea. Almost too sweet as it was going on considering there were from opposite tracks of life. It's really when it stops being sweet the tone gets interesting, watching Rogers go full escort to make McCrea jealous! Wish they'd kept it sour a while longer, but in a way it had to end the way it did.

This could have been a great film however censorship rules in place at the time forced the filmmaker's to significantly tone done the Mother's prostitution and curtailed any exploration of that theme and ultimately made the plot a little less interesting because of that.Ginger Rodgers and Joel McCrea anchor this film with there great on screen chemistry and wonderful performances.The supporting cast all give good performances that really add to this films charm.
