Should be better because of how important and compelling this story is, but this is a relatively unremarkable courtroom war drama. Despite the disturbing subject matter, the film feels tame and by the numbers (for its genre), and although it's able to deliver its story rather economically, the execution of it with this film isn't so thrilling and littered with a number of problems, notably lacklustre editing, music, and an overdone PTSD-suffering war victim performance.
