Rated higher than I would normally but this is a trip down nostalgia lane for me. It's a near miss. It just doesn't quite jell yet the memories of beach party movies, being a teen and going to all the cheap monster movies - well, I just can't not like it. Lauren Ambrose is good as usual

Campy combination of a 60's teen beach movie and an 80's slasher flick. Lots of really funny humor, sassy dialog and cool dancing, plus the lead actress is as cute as a button. No nudity and minimal gore, but this movie was hilarious in parts.

Wanted to like it more. Production values lessened the funny script.

Very silly, but a bunch of cute guys and Lauren Ambrose playing multiple personalities certainly help. It's always tricky to strive to be campy on purpose, especially when the source material (beach movies) aren't that interesting to begin with.

Pastiches come off as too self referential from my experience, but after a point it shrugs this off and becomes charming. Shame about the last few minutes thought.

It has a few entertaining moments. The movie is mainly focused on making a satire out of various sexual deviations while also presenting us with a thriller-like story. The characters aren't really flashed out, each one of them is defined by their particular insanity. The main character, who had multiple personalities and she kept changing between them at completely unpredictable times, was definitely the most entertaining part of the picture. Apart from her, there isn't much to see here.

What a bizarre movie. What the hell was going on there?

Aside for some eye candy, this is lame, stupid and campy. The plot is ridiculous and the script is inane. Music is throwback 60's. The man playing the policewoman was utterly horrible. Easily an embarrassment to everyone involved. Some points for the crazy girl switching multiple personalities, but everything is bracketed by lameness. One or two cute moments, but otherwise very boring and crappy. Mostly just a total waste, except for Amy Adams.

I can't help but love this film. It's definitely a guilty pleasure, but that doesn't take away from its quirky charm.
