Harkens back to a time when super hero movies took themselves a lot less seriously. It's a decent watch, but the writing is uninspired and the characters are pretty one dimensional. But then again, maybe Marvel has tainted our tastes in super heroes. Sang-ho Yeon should have just immediately started pumping out a "Train to Busan" sequel instead of a lack luster detour.

I guess it's good to know that superhero movies are just as flat and unimaginative outside the US too.

Interesting movie but plot is completely wrong. I know it would be a full cliche, yet it's vapid this way. Also, I don't want Netflix to make movies. Just stick to the series guys, please.

Decent but not overly so. It's basically just a very average superhero movie that is shot pretty well; it has some cool moments, some scenes of beauty. Sometimes the superpowers feel appropriate but then other times there's no real crunch to them. Tonal shifts between something a little darker (a struggle of h is daughter to protect what she loves) and silliness was a little off-putting. Would have worked a little better had the jokes been good.

This is a fun action film. The cast look like they are having a good time and there are plenty of fun moments and scenes in this movie. Overall I would recommend this film.

This combination of family drama, superhero origin story and social commentary doesn't quite work, but has enough interesting elements to make it worth a watch for fans of Korean genre cinema.

A fun film about a down on his luck dad getting superpowers. It has a lot of cute moments and is a nice change of pace from the regular superhero movie.

funny how this comic book movie about institutional abandonment, brutal police oppression and violent, revolutionary protest takes itself so much less seriously than those ones about a buncha magic stones. eun-kyung shim is so magnetic here, she even sells the deadbeat dad reconciliation fluff. "maybe i've been given these powers so i can be a good dad for a change."

When he kept displaying his powers to anyone who had eyes I wondered when a shady underworld organization - or even the government - would show up to abduct him or take him out. Not that kind of world here, though. I don't mind a fun and sometimes goofy story without serious consequences, and I was entertained, but at the point the hoard of police came in all remaining reason had to be abandoned.

A few laughs, entertaining, nothing much. You'll forget about it 15 minutes after it's over.
