This movie is considered the first ever Beat generation movie and it has some creative ideas in it. Dubbed entirely by Jack Kerouac, it is a quite poetic film.

Not the most engaging piece of film, but a very unique and interesting one nonetheless. A mix of beat poetry and 50's sensibilities, it captures a slightly warped sense of life in those times with a little bit of levity.

Viewed July 26, 2016. It's punchy and open-ended, a rambling beat tone poem, shot in such a way that it looks and feels like the whole thing was made up on the spot - in actuality, the entire picture was structured and completed, and then Kerouac stepped in and just improvised the narration that goes over it to tie it all together. It's an effective mix of artistic styles - structured spontaneity and real spontaneity, angry and playful, and a key work of the Beat Generation.
