Puppet Master X: Axis Rising

While I can't sing much praise here for the series, the half-hearted attempt to continue a through-line in the series by keeping Danny and Beth in name at least for more than one movie is a kind of minor saving grace that the series has lacked for quite some years. What blows my mind, though, is how Band failed to retain the same actors for any of these installments, with acting like this, their wages have got to be next to free.

A step up with much better cinematography, well designed new puppets and higher quality replicates of the classic puppets. While the ol' axiom more Nazi's equal more fun still applies it's starting to lose its potency on the series. A believable period setting remains out of Full Moon's reach and the over use of dialog scenes to stretch the run time prove to be far too taxing on the actors. Ditching DeCoteau helped to shake off the bad gay porno feel too so hopefully the series continues upward.

Boring with lame unfunny comedy and almost no puppet action. Looks and feels incredibly cheap.
