Actually wonderful. What Dedication tried to be but wasn't quite. Selma Blair and Patrick Wilson have amazing chemistry. I will always love Edward Burns, and Debra Messing wasn't horrible.

Usual Burns style, nonspectacular but an honest romantic comedy or an account of relations if that sounds better. Would have worked far better Burns could have stayed away from the miserably cliched ending.

I liked Selma Blair in this movie about 2 couples that used to have relationships. A reunion brings back all the old feelings and they have to sort through situations to find one another again. The script is smart and engaging, but the love stories are strained and difficult, not unlike real life.

After waking up really early one morning, this was on HBO and what a pleasant surprise it was. The four leads all have a precise chemistry with each other, and that, combined with their performances, is enough to overcome the simplistic script. There is also some noteworthy cinematography at points, especially in scenes with Blair and her character's husband. Eddie Burns is a better director than he is a writer, and he is a better actor than he is a director. I'll like anything with Selma Blair.
