Queenpins

Fun shallow heist film relying solely on the chemistry between the two pairs, but sadly all 4 don't share much time together except for a letdown interrogation at the end. Even the USPS interview was better. The criminal enterprise and the ending was unrealistic. Joel McHale was criminally underused and Bebe Rexha shined in her small role. Hauser found his niche. Gun sale could have been cut out; driveway dance felt like filler. Fav scene: moneydance in basement.

This was a fun comedy with an unlikely conclusion. Very good production value. The high points of the movie were watching the girls do their little dance after getting the money. Even though it is not the slightest bit realistic it was a fun ride. I can even say I have a new appreciation of Kristen Bell. Kirby Howell-Baptiste was fun too. Vince Vaughn was also entertaining. Worth watching, and it has a few great laugh out loud moments. Cute ending. If only...

How many movies does Paul Walter Hauser play a nearly identical character?. Decent movie that doesn't take itself too seriously. Didn't like the ending.

This was just bad. It wasn't funny in the least and I couldn't have cared less about anyone or anything that happened to them.

Queenpins is a fun goofball movie that's based on true story. The film is odd in that Bell & Kirby's characters seem to be written as the protagonists with an almost sympathetic view on their crimes, while Vaughn & Hauser's buddy cop dynamic seems to be played more for laughs. Ironically the latter's laughs land better than the former's sympathy. The film is good light entertainment, but the wrap-up at the end seems to suggest greed is good and crime pays.

A good Saturday afternoon romp. Nothing groundbreaking or laugh out loud hilarious. Not overarching message about the world or socio-political issues. Just a fun movie about scammers taking advantage of loopholes and a surprising ending that feels like it carries that theme to it's end.

This film has a good cast and most of them perform really well in their roles. The script is a bit uneven at times but it does contain several good moments. Overall I would recommend this film.

I tell you what....I'd love to watch an original Amazon Prime series starring Vince Vaughn and Paul Walter Hauser as partners, working for the US Postal Service, going from state to state and solving mail crimes. Get er' done Bezos!
