Quiet Rage: The Stanford Prison Experiment
In the center of the film stands a psychological experiment that was conducted in 1971 by American psychologist Philip Zimbardo. Volunteers played the roles of guards and prisoners and lived in a conventional prison, set up in the rooms of psychology institute. Prisoners and guards rapidly adapted in their roles, and, contrary to expectations, began to emerge a truly dangerous situation. A third of guards had sadistic maners, after which the experiment was out of control. (wipfilms.net)
