this movie sucked my ass

This film is proof that the "Vacation" concept is not in and of itself all that great, it is the performances and the filmmaking which made that movie a classic. This is just trash that isn't even bad enough to be memorable.

A movie that so frequently falls flat on its face that you have to be careful not to get blood on your shoes.

Not as bad as everyone makes it out to be. Robin Williams is great. It's a fun romp at least.

If you enjoy immature, stupid scatalogical humour, this movie is for you.

Spotty but generally amusing comedy lacks the frenetic energy you might expect from Sonnenfeld (especially in the second half), but there are some obvious but genuinely funny moments of slapstick, given an extra sheen by a terrific cast (even if Williams can’t shed his inherent intelligence to successfully pull off the Chase like buffoon). Has the unmistakeable feel of the VACATION series squished together; while it could never compete in such heady company, it’s still good fun.

The pages of his script would have been put to better use as dog-poo picker-uppers at the local park -- just desserts for a movie filled with so much on-screen fecal matter, both literally and figuratively.

All that talent wasted with really bad script.

I don't understand why this was made. I less understand why the likes of Robin Williams, Will Arnett, and Jeff Daniels would do this.

I liked more than just Robin Williams parts here, but the story was inredible untolerable. There was a plot behind all the hassle, but the main focus was on mindless running back and forth.

Robin Williams acts well again but as usual in his comedies, the script is horsecrap.

This movie is obsessed with shit. Not surprisingly, it is shit. Sonnenfeld has lost his touch completely, and the decent cast assembled for this are wasted on the material.

Robin Williams needs to do more roles like he did in Good Will Hunting, he's way better at those than in these crap comedies he's made recently.

Yet another "what were they thinking when they made this?" film. And another chance to ask "Why is Robin Williams so intent on flushing his career down the toilet?"

Pretty much cheap shots all the way through, but they're funny. Much more 'adult' oriented than the PG rating would lead you to believe. Think of it as a modern "Vacation." If you liked the Chevy Chase films, you probably would enjoy this one.

To say it's a formula movie is insulting to half-decent formula movies.

RV is a horribly unfunny family comedy that'll remind you of everything you don't like about your family.

You know you've failed as a father when your son is a wigger and your daughter is a militant vegan.

Passable family comedy, with predictable (if well-executed) set-pieces relating to RV travel, that is inexplicably a Robin Williams vehicle (instead of, say, Norm MacDonald). A few verbal solos by Williams aside, most of the comedy is pretty broad and bland.

This movie provide a few laughters, but it is very weak.
