Now lookee here, in this home we don' much care fer yer kind of motorhome-lovin', dirtbike-ridin', underwritten-spouses-havin' protagonist fellas. We're used to more entertainment 'round these parts and y'all just too dang boring. Now take yer A-team-level cinematography and stunts and come back once ya got an actual third act, ya hear?

Like Two-Lane Blacktop but with a plot. Shots fired! I picked this literally to have the reference point for The 'Burbs. Highly enjoyable film that I will recommend to friends and enemies alike. Makes RV culture even more frightening than Winnebago Man did.

Look at the premise, the poster. How could it go wrong? Perhaps my imagination got the best of me, cause just from that description, I envisioned the PERFECT, balls-out, kicking-Satanic-ass 'road trip movie' ever made. Instead I got 90 minutes of rambling vacation footage with the mouldy aesthetics of a Brady Bunch episode, starring the most violently uninteresting protagonists ever. Disappointing to say the least. :(

I think it could be much better. It seems like it's going to be one of the best exploitations you ever seen, but then it turns out to be just ok. I didn't like the sudden (and obvious) ending.

I found this to be an extremely fun drive-in movie. Perhaps it doesn't really make enough use of the Satanic element, but when you've got Warren Oates and Peter Fonda on screen (as a bunch of regular joes who race each other on motorbikes) it's pretty hard to complain. For me, anyway.

Lots of trash cinema sounds like fun but doesn't deliver. Race With The Devil sounds like fun and DOES deliver.

It's not the best with effects or acting or plot, but it's just kind of solid fun for the most part, anyway. I liked the first part of the movie better than the last, since there is a certain tension of feeling like you're being watched and followed vs. a straightforward chase or a fight sequence. Loved that at least one of the cars that crashed had a roll cage visible and that one of them just randomly exploded for no real reason. I wish they had done more with the cultist angle itself, though!

I mean, you kind of HAVE to watch this with that poster and that cast. Just know that you will be disappointed besides the majesty of Warren Oates' beanie.

I think what really makes this work is the lead foursome come off as real people, sometimes tough and determined, sometimes scared and frustrated, and even if their actions and reactions are sometimes stupid it's an understandable type of stupid. Add in some effective creepiness and you get a film that is both great action and great horror too.

It was winter and they were wearing coats then they suddenly went to swimming and everyone was sitting by tge pool half naked. I am confused here. Is it hot there in January?

Prior to the slasher boom, it seems like satanic cults were the go-to bad guy in horror movies, and honestly they just don't strike me as scary. This one is a pretty by-the-numbers approach, mostly adhering to genre tropes, can't say I'm impressed, not with Fonda or Oates either.

A sort of redneck Rosemary's Baby. For most of its running time this film is dull, lacking the atmosphere, urgency and tension it so badly needs.

The most exciting thing about this movie is the poster. BUT I don't regret watching it.
