Rain or Shine

Looks great. Joe Cook isn't funny. The latter trumps the former.

Frank Capra elegantly directs Joe Cook's successful circus stage performance for the silver screen! The movie has a lot of rapid dialogue from Cook, almost too much talk, but he hits a few good laughs. He's also a accomplished circus artist and shows off his tricks for the climax portion of the film. But for me it's Tom Howard as his main sucker that steal the show. With his little round glasses he was like a dumber and uglier Robert Woolsey of Wheeler & Woolsey fame.
