Very well done love story. The central plot device is noncredible, but Colman and Garson are so charming that it works

Oh, that was a beautiful tearful ending.

A simple story that's none the less touching in that Classic Hollywood sense [classic =/= corny]. I guess I'm a sucker cause even the most inconceivable plot points had me invested, I give the credit to two incredible leads and perfect filmmaking in all fields. Greer Garson can do no wrong but she's actually outclassed by Colman, this is his movie.

Amnesia, the plot device that keeps on giving. Everything the film is premised on is overwrought and we get more pining than romancing, but it still works somehow. Probably because Greer Garson gives a fantastic performance and the rest of the cast is pretty good too.

The first half was pretty decent, but I lost interest by the end. Greer Garson might have been a looker, but I can't imagine someone saying that she gave a good performance here.

There comes a point in every film fanatic's journey where they seem to run out of classics to watch. Perhaps they knowingly avoid some to ensure there's always something left - I do. Then you watch a film like Random Harvest, a classic, yes, but not too mentioned nowadays. Its director and cast aren't fashionable nowadays, so I didn't anticipate much. But it grabbed me like only an Old Hollywood film can and really worked its magic. It's terribly predictable but awfully sweet.

Powerful classic.

Saw this many years ago and it stayed in my memory and still enjoyed on recent viewing.

A masterful, tearjerking film. This is Garson's finest hour, and a shamelessly potent sobfest.

This is, on the surface, absurd melodrama, but it's told so effectively that the audience wants to go along for the ride. Colman is really effective, but this is clearly Garson's film, capitalizing on her "Mrs. Miniver" success. She's radiant and uncharacteristically understated, especially for material that almost begs for a big performance. This story has a fair number of twists and turns, and they are surprisingly subtle at times.

Sappy melodrama, mediocre writing, pretty good acting. Greer Garson gives it her all.

Solid romance with an absurd premise. An amnesiac who can't remember anything falls in love with a woman, then gets reverse amnesia and can remember everything before but not the woman any more. Predictable followings happen. It's all very well done and Colman is quite good.
