Corny in a mostly just boring way. Kill all landlords and land developers tho for sure.

Before hip-hop got remotely interesting. Somewhat decent as an oddly endearing look at community especially amongst the poor. Not my thing tho. Love a good Reagan joke

I'm not surprised that a mainstream film of the mid 80s got rap completely wrong, but this being a Cannon production, it reaches new heights of cheesy ineptitude. The minimal plot involves an ex-con (Mario Van Peebles) who turns Robin Hood (or RAPPIN' Hood) and tangles with a rival gang leader (Charles Grant) and a villainous slumlord. The story and characters are wisps, the rap (Ice-T contributed) is laughable, the sound mixing is wretched, and unintentional (?) homoeroticism rules the day.
