Rapture-Palooza is just plain bad, in fact, it's horrible. This is one of those quirky comedies with understated humor that indie kids love, but instead they threw in Craig Robinson as a flamboyantly obnoxious Antichrist, and that's fine because i'm not a fan of those quirky comedies anyway. Unfortunately, somehow, in some fantastic way, this mix that I was talking about is far worse than the sum of it's crappy parts.

Rapture-Palooza is not a funny movie. It has a fun premise that winds up being vastly underutilized. After the first few minutes, it becomes more focused on its Antichrist character and while he's supposed to be over-the-top and satirical, it doesn't wind up working. The plot is thin, the script is weak, and the actors don't really seem invested in the material. This is a film that could have easily been a funny take on the Rapture, but it degenerates quickly and never realizes its potential.

I just watched this three days ago and can't remember a thing about it, other than that Craig Robinson was hilarious.

Decent enough fun, comes across as a couple of episodes of a TV show that never got picked up.

This is a horrible film. The script is unfunny and it fails at every turn. There are some talented people in the cast but they are all wasted. Do yourself a favor and watch a different movies besides this one.

This was more funny than most comedies I've seen but it doesn't surpass any of the best ones. Anna Kendrick is still absolutely beautiful in this film. She also has a sharp tongue and wit. John Francis Daley was a really funny lead as well. I've only seen him in the show Bones so it was good to finally see him in a movie. Disappointing role for Corddry, I've seen him do better in other things. Craig Robinson was crass and sometimes funny. I hated Jeong's version of God. Worth a watch.

There are a few funny bits and ideas here. Unfortunately, the film uses them all up in the first half hour, leaving us with an hour more of chintzy, loud, tin-eared, uninspired, dreary-looking postapocalyptic hijinks to sit through. Lots of good actors, lots of serious slumming. This thing's like THIS IS THE END's homeless cousin.

Some of Craig Robinson's lines were just disturbing. Vulgarity does not equal funny.

Holy Sunset Blvd, y'all. The screenwriter for this movie should be fucking ashamed of himself.

It could have been a lot better, but it did have its moments. My TL;DR is that it might have worked better as a TV show. [Full Review]

Perfect example of a script not living up to its premise. I hate it when I like the whole cast of a film but they put out something mediocre. This was probably written and filmed in the same week.
