The concept of an ancient pagan demon returning to wreck havoc on modern Ireland has potential, but this movie is a foogin' mess, boyo.

There are redeeming qualities buried beneath slight production and a monster that looks like a cross between a professional wrestler, a Mad Max villain and a muppet. More like Rawhead Rex. No, wait.

A modern take on monster movies and not a very good one at that I think I'd rather stick with Italian horror

Day 4: Rawhead Rex is one of those films that I guess I have to watch so you know not to. Even for the era and budget, it's very poorly made. The monster isn't scary, the plot is quite slow, and none of the kills are inventive in the least. I'm happy to hear that even Clive Barker was disappointed in this one.

A sleepy Irish village is attacked by a giant demonic creature from the depths of the earth, and a visiting American writer is the only one who can figure out how to defeat it. Based on a Clive Barker story, it's your basic 80's killer monster flick, with gallons of sloppy gore and a guy in a goofy looking rubber monster suit. Nothing special but plenty of fun...the scene where Rex attacks the caravan park is fucking hilarity.

I decided the time had finally come to watch the movie they call "Rawhead Rex". Rawhead. I mean, it's got to be good, right? uh... If you're nostalgic for 80's profanity and blasphemy, then I guess give it a go, but otherwise there are funner bad movies out there.

Silly British horror with some kinky overtones. Dull.

Ridiculous 80's horror film that they used to show on saturday afternoon network tv all the time probably because it had dirt cheap syndication rights. The featured monster is an ugly 8 foot tall thing with a weird bull looking head and roars. There are a few deaths and lots of strange looking Irish folk getting gobbled. Kind of funny but it's mostly just boring trash.

I have to admit it, I was enjoying this. Maybe it was because of the hilarious beast costume? Or maybe it wasn't THAT awful. It had some funny dialogue too. The ending was the most ridiculous I've ever seen. Hooray, the Americans saved the day! -"Oh in the meantime, can I get you a cup of tea?" - 'Why don't you go fuck yourself?!'

Super cheap low budget movie that's pretty terrible but still manages to entertain albeit only slightly. There's bad camera angles, acting, directing, SFX, dialogue, you name it it's bad. Well actual the story itself is decent. The size of the demon seems to change randomly and for some reason Rawhead (incredibly stupid name) hides like a slasher for large chunks of the movie.

Is it a technical masterclass? No. Is it unintentionally hilarious at points? Yes. Is it a pretty unremarkable effort overall? You bet. Despite all of these things working against it, though, I somehow had quite a bit of fun with this. The Rawhead creature looks awesome, the story is interesting- even though several bits & pieces are missing- & the lead performance by David Dukes is solid. It also packs a few surprises, which is nice to see. It definitely has (many) flaws, but it's worth a look.

I was pretty interested due to the fact of Clive Barker writing it, but it's a pretty boring story for the most part. Monster pops out of the ground, kills some people just because, spares some people just because, and before long, it's over. The highlight of the movie is Ronan Wilmot acting like a crazy person. The monster effects were not all that interesting, and there wasn't much in the way of remarkable death scenes.

"Get upstairs, fuckface! I can't keep God waiting!" A demon (alternative to God) wakes up from its sleep and starts to murder random people while sparing some of them or hypnotizing the rest of them for the sake of it. Consequently, the protagonist, who happens to be passing by, solves everything miraculously and finds a way to kill this demon. You get the picture. I admire the scene where Rawhead pees on one of his disciples, hence the 30 points, but unfortunately, he is not my type of God.
