One of the very few times they got it right with Jim Belushi. Very underrated comedy, but it's not for everyone.

A very silly film which I enjoyed a lot.

Dumb. A clever, original idea, made really dumb. And it's too bad, for this could have been a really great movie. Watchable if you're a fan of Belushi or Ritter (before they became sitcom Dads and their careers went in the crapper).

Dopey but fun. Plenty of inspired weirdness

Only surpassed by Cronenberg's 'The Fly' in the excellence of dialogue containing the word 'cabinets'. An under-appreciated sort-of-interrogation of masculinity and machismo. Feldman's only time directing, and the only at all good film with which he seems to have been associated, sandwiched between script work on the legendarily awful and then a long stream of empty exploitation.

Mind-bogglingly hilarious in the first half, but slowly succumbs to its terminal weirdness and gets kinda lame by the time the CIA assassin clowns show up. The whole third act is one of the most anticlimactic finishes I can ever recall. John Ritter is profoundly awesome throughout and makes this enjoyable. If I want to smile ear to ear, I just imagine him running around convinced that pantomiming a gun and yelling "BANG!" is actually working.
