Reasonable Doubt

I had some doubt that this movie was good as it was getting skewered by other critics. It really wasn't that bad at all. The biggest problem this movie had was a slightly muddy ending, things just weren't tied up as nice as I wanted them to be. S.L. Jackson was as good as always, I just wish he had a more substantial role...

Jackson is entertaining as ever but this is a pretty mediocre film. The ending makes no sense, and other than Jackson the acting is not great. Too bad, because the initial premise of the story is excellent.

Very predictable exposition, at least to me as a thriller and mystery fan. Overall plot is outrageously stupid because it doesn't make any sense. An "OK" visual and superb acting by Samuel L. Jackson but I'm doubtful of the various coincidental scenarios that happened in the film. Save your time and money, don't watch this film.

The actors do a good job in this film. Unfortunately the script is not well done here. The story starts with an interesting idea but as the film progresses the script continues to unravel. One of the flaws of the script is not many of the characters are likeable. Overall I would say skip this one.

Great narrative device and started well - but fizzled out before the end.

It was a semi-interesting plot. Honestly, I'm not sure I believe the motives of the villain, and certain lines of dialog made me feel the writer was even questioning his own creation. It is none the less interesting and surprising at points.

I wish this was an adaptation of Jay Z's classic debut album, it would have been a lot more interesting than this. The opening titles go on quite a while listing all the production companies involved, it's surprising that all of them together could only produce such a nothing film.
