its kinda boring and has some rushed parts but i have always loved biographies.

Now I'm gonna have to finally read the book. Kevin Spacey is outstanding

Well done biographical drama with stellar performances.

What I expected of Tolkien (also starring Hoult), I got here. I kinda disagree with the critical consensus. It’s nothing groundbreaking, but it’s a pretty enjoyable biography.

The pithy retorts between Hoult and Spacey during the 1st act are the best bits of the film. Despite a promising start, this bio-drama delivers a disappointing, monotonous film. Salinger wrote for himself, not for his fans, even if he enjoyed the adulation. The film is neither that entertaining nor that insightful.

rvw. this made me love the book even more. and i loved this more than the book even if i find out it wasn't very accurate lmao. this is how the book should have been taught to me in high school after reading it. his story is more important than dummies saying "holden is a phony" lool

This should and could have been great film. But it's pretty boring. I expected so much more.
