The characters of the fairy-tale absolutely refuse to do the tale in the same old way. Instead Little Red Riding Hood is transformed to the hottest singer in town, the wolf becomes The Wolf and grandma turns into a man chaser. (imdb)

Ah, the good old sexy lady trope and the insatiable wolf with his uncontrollable sex drive. A bit of fun for the kids, a bit of fun for the parents. The 4th wall break doesn't work well here.

Except for the club reactions, this is a bit boring.

Red Riding Hood works in a night club, Grandma is a sex-crazy nymphomaniac and the wolf, lured by the former's looks, ends up trying to avoid the latter's grasp. "Red Hot Riding Hood", a spicy take on the well-known fairytale, is actually a lot less amusing than on paper: the bravery of the story's approach and the sex-hungry Grandma are the only remarkable things about it.

Leave it to Tex Avery to pack so much overt sexuality and raging id into a seven minute 1940s Technicolor cartoon.

Sadly the only good part of this is the wolf whistling and popping his eyes out at the table. One of the most iconic moments in the history of animted film. However, the rest of the film is average at best. Worth watching for that one scene though.

Probably the best cartoon Tex Avery ever did for MGM. The scene where the Wolf's eyes pop out is iconic, but the best part is how Red sings like Mae West but talks like Katharine Hepburn.

For an old cartoon, it was still great.

Completely insane. Tex Avery ratchets wild takes and visual gags all the way up and sets the tone for "zany" for all eternity.
